It is a Human Rights Issue! I am writing about Equal Access to quality Education and I believe strongly that it must be treated as a Human Right Issue. Unequal Access is like a huge prison door. It shuts out the light of understanding and progress to so many. Good people of our world must rise up and work together to make quality education a RIGHT for all our Citizens!
Enough of governments mouthing platitudes, enough of the privileged foisting pretenses, let us get real hard action and do something. If Cuba can educate ALL its citizens, any Nation in the world can do the same. All it takes is the Will and the commitment. We must walk the talk, to change our world.
Mae Jameson is the first African American woman in space. I make bold to say that there are many Mae-s whose classroom right now is under a Neem tree in Africa. There are many Maes on the streets of the big Cities of USA, whose dream has been dashed for lack of opportunity. Can we do something about that?
Before I end, look at this class, see the great work the Teacher is doing in east Africa! Ask yourself if you are in the West… How does she cope…? Ask a further Question… How can I be of Help?
